Privacy Policy

• We collect what it takes to run your account and the game: your email, username, picks and progress.
• We never sell your personal information, and we don't run ad trackers.
• Purchases go through Apple. We never see your card details.
• You can delete your account at any time, and your data goes with it.

Account details. Your email address, username and password when you sign up. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and stored hashed. We never see them in plain text.

Gameplay. Your picks and how they grade, virtual coins, units, XP, career and challenge progress, avatar items, leagues you join, follows, and leaderboard standings.

Things you post. Game chat messages, player wall posts, league chat and analysis notes. Other players can see these.

Linked social handles (optional). If you link your X, Instagram or TikTok handle to unlock a reward, we store the handle you enter and show it on your profile. Our official accounts may tag that handle when they celebrate your wins (drops, leagues, weekly leaders), and we check whether it follows our official pages so we can send follow rewards. We never post about losses. Remove a handle at any time to stop all of this.

Stadium check-ins (optional, iPhone app).When you tap check in at a venue, the app reads your location once to confirm you are there, and we save the venue, the time and that location. We don't track your location in the background.

Notifications (iPhone app).If you allow push notifications, we store your device's push token so we can tell you when picks grade or a friend joins your league. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.

Purchases (iPhone app). Premium Pass and Unit Reset are sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and we only receive the transaction record we need to unlock what you bought.

Technical data.Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. The website uses a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

• To run the game: grading picks, awarding coins and items, leaderboards, leagues and challenges.
• To send account emails, like sign-up confirmations and password reset codes.
• To send occasional BetsFriends update emails (see "Emails" below for how to opt out).
• To keep the game fair and safe: preventing cheating, spam and abuse.
• To answer your support requests.

Your username, avatar, record and stats, plus the picks, posts and social handles shown on your profile, are visible to other players. They can also appear on public parts of BetsFriends such as leaderboards, shareable pick cards, and our ChatGPT app. Your email address is never shown to other players.

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run BetsFriends for us, and only what they need to do that job:

• Supabase hosts our database and sign-in.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• Apple runs the App Store, in-app purchases and push notifications.
• Resend delivers our emails.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our players or the service.

Account emails (like password reset codes) are part of having an account. Update emails are occasional news about new features and drops. To stop them, reply "unsubscribe" to any update email, or email eric@betsfriends.co, and we'll take you off the list.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active.

To delete your account in the iPhone app, open the Settings menu and tap Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, profile and picks.

No iPhone? Email eric@betsfriends.cofrom the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account," and we'll delete it for you. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it the same way.

Server logs and backups roll off on their own schedule after deletion. Posts you made in shared chats may be removed or shown without your account attached.

BetsFriends is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email eric@betsfriends.coand we'll delete it.

Data travels over encrypted connections, and access to player data is locked down to the systems that need it. No service is perfectly secure, so use a password you don't use anywhere else.
